Scott (or anyone else) what would I need to use to get a maxilight to work with a CL-360? Would just a normal speedlight to adaptor ring bracket work or would that loose to much light out the back?

I don't often use this bad boy in the studio.

I tried to mix it up with a 150cm octa as fill and gridded strip as rim.

I shoot in this venue once per month for the Big Bang Boom Cabaret - pre-show portraits of all the performers, then documentation of the show.
I try to make the portraits a little different every time, but there's only so many different ways to set up in the limited space. I've used the Maxi-Lite only once before.

This time, I used the roll-up garage door that's off to the left side of the stage. I've always avoided it before, since it's insulated with shiny reflective insulation panels - scary!

Main light is Maxi-Lite on a D-Lite it 2 on a tall stand, directly behind the camera, shooting from over my head.
Kicker light is a second D-Lite it 2, with the basic 7-inch umbrella/dish reflector, sitting on the floor just off the edge of the stage, aimed up at the door.

The show theme this month was "Time Machine."

Has anyone done any output comparison settings on a Godox 360 comparing the output of a Maxilite on it (with Elinchrom adapter or other hack) to, say, the Godox AD-S7 umbrella-style softbox/beauty dish with removable center diffuser and diffusion panel?

I have been using the HoneyGrid with my Maxilite for a while and in many situations it almost eliminates the need for a beauty dish.
