First Day Hike

Spent yesterday afternoon shooting the First Day Hike at Week's State Park in Lancaster, NH

First a little background: First Day Hikes take place at various state parks throughout the country. The purpose is to promote hiking and use of our state parks. This was the first year at Week's State Park. A friend of mine got me involved as a photographer. The state plans to use some of the images to promote the state park system.

Great idea and very nice shot

I thought the hike was a great idea as well. It is a 1 1/2 mile hike along an auto road that gets pretty steep in spots. In all they had 67 people join in spite of the 20 degree temperature.

Nice shot! The composition includes the sweep of the trail, which was a good choice. Good expressions from the hikers too.

This would be a good choice for promotion of the park.
