Fun group shots

I got bored of normal group shots; side by side, boring poses. So when I went to my local school to photograph the 7th graders (it's a VERY small school) I decided to try something I hadn't tried before, which resulted in the image below. The lighting was horrible, so I'm sure the highlights and shadows are not spot on, but the kids and their families LOVED it! Haha

The teacher came in after we were done shooting the students, so I just asked him to strike a pose, and I think he did great

I like the shot, it all works very well. Is this a composite of individual shots?

Also, was "Sommer" intentionally misspelled?

Sommer is the correct spelling of summer in Norwegian Yes, it's individual shots. First time I tried it, before I even knew composite photography was a thing, just messing around in photoshop. But I really like creating images like that.
