Mainly a 300/2.8 with a 1.4x converter, so 420/4 (on a FF camera). Some of the closer shots were taken with a 70-200/2.8.

You will love Finland. It's an amazing place. I've been a few times (though not with Danny yet). You will be in a hide so it's obviously very different to Alaska where you are out and about with the bears. The key thing is patience - and don't fall asleep! You will have 24 hour daylight in June so you can shoot right through the night. My only recommendation would be to use manual exposure (if you don't already). If the skies are clear, the light doesn't change very quickly and being in manual mode means that the camera meter doesn't get confused if the bears come close or the background varies.

Greate shots, love the B&W in the rain. Where in Lake Clark where you at? I went to Lake Clark several years ago, we stayed at Redoubt Mountain Lodge, absolutely loved it!

An excellent set of images. Doing the Lake Clarke trip with Danny is something I'd really love to do sometime.

Are you on the trip led by Sylwia or Jules? I did it in '13 so I'll post my thoughts when I have time.
