I love my Tessar, because it gives me such b&w pictures in the style of the 30s-50s, that any of my other lenses can not give.

Not sure why you directed this at me, but it looks like a nice lens. Far outside my budget for a MF lens though, I'll stick with my free Mitakon ;)

Oh, no, no, no, Lucas! Just comparing lenses! Nothing on the budget, please !!! I am so sorry if I gave you a reason to think otherwise!
By the way, did not hear anything about Mitakon lenses.

No problem, just seemed like you were trying to tell me the Voigtlander was a better lens, which I have no doubt it is (the Mitakon is actually really mediocre  ) ;)

I have the zebra Tessar. I was not very impressed. The aperture blades close with difficulty and only till f8. The A/M lever is not functioning as it should too. From your photos it seems I will have to test it again in B/W.

My Tessar older than your zebra. It is "preset" lens and 14 blades of aperture, coming from 50s))
Optical they are the same, but the coating, I think will be better on zebra Tessar. Possible you need to clean and re- lubricate it.
