Sorry if this has been covered, I searched as best I could without success. Is there any way to get rid of that notification? Amass has been around for a little while now and I don't think that needs to be forced up top perpetually.

If you can make it user-dismissable like vBulletin announcements, that would be great; it could stay as long as people want it. IMHO, it just doesn't need to be there for everyone, without a choice, all the time. :)

Not everybody visits the site frequently and AFAIK, it is only on the forum index page which some members may not visit often. I don't visit that page often, but I read it when it first appeared two or three weeks ago and hardly notice it now. It will be gone when the software is updated to version 1.1 which should be very soon. Keeping members advised of coming changes is very important. Try to bear with the construction dust for just a little while longer.

Removing it before e-mail notifications are activated wouldn't be advisable. Even more people would ask "Where are my . . ." than do now.

I agree. It has overstayed its welcome - by far.

Solution? Simple. Add a dismiss button, set a cookie.

Bingo (and hello fellow North Carolinian!). That's all I'm asking about, not to get rid of it altogether. With a dismiss button, it would still be there for anybody and everybody that a) hasn't seen it or b) wants it around.
