Jan 10, 2015 11:27 | #2 Interesting. My biggest gripe with Yongo has been the retailer up till now. I don't trust eBay and amazon's crappy packaging jobs. Wouldn't that be more accurately worded if you said, "B&H is more expensive for me because I have to pay tax since I live in NY."? Let me tell you how much I hated that. -Matt

In my experience, when Amazon makes a mistake in my favor, and I alert them to it (it's happened before more than once), they've told me to keep it. But thanks for the moral scolding. -Matt

Is it worse that one repeat customer kept a freebie or that another customer publicly cast aspersions suggesting no confidence in the retailer's ability to package products? -Matt

Jan 11, 2015 08:50 | #9 It's good to see them getting a wider distribution channel. I picked up a couple of YN560 (version I) flashes a couple years ago when I was looking for some simple optical trigger flashes and the local camera didn't really have anything to offer other than third party flashes that cost almost as much as a Canon 430ex. Jan 11, 2015 09:22 | #10 I'd be happy to buy through B&H, at least you know you'll be looked after in the event of a problem... _______________

Jan 11, 2015 09:28 | #11 I ordered a Yongnuo 568 ex II a few months ago from Amazon. We order from Amazon for a lot of other stuff, too and have never had a problem. The packaging is always good, too. Im gonna be ordering from B&H in the not too distant future for my next lens purchase, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Amazon if they have a better deal. I was wondering when B&H was gonna start selling yongnuo stuff. My flash seems well made and has so far been reliable. ~Kira~

The price is right but I ain't ready to pounce. It can't fail in the middle of a wedding, for instance, which I have seen before. But maybe a fluke, I don't know. What is the greater harm to said retailer? Is it worse that one repeat customer kept a freebie or that another customer publicly cast aspersions suggesting no confidence in the retailer's ability to package products? First off let's be clear. There is a massive moral difference going from, "I scored extra stuff at their expense", and "they let me keep extra stuff after I was honest with them about them shipping too many items."
