Sun wasn't too bad but it was gone by 2:00.

We did get treated to some ice dancing as well.

Doesn't look like the weather is cooperating being in the 30's during the day. Makes for a more enjoyable time sitting outside but the eagles will be feeding less. I guess I would say have a backup plan to go to L&D 13 or 15 if the action isn't good at 14. Also early morning and late afternoon seem to be the times of the most activity. Have fun!

Soon as the sun is up. Lighting can be challenging at that time, especially since you are facing East.

It's been a relatively warm week. If anyone goes today, let us know how the action is.

Very interested in hearing a current eagle count there and what the action is like. Our resident winter population in Ottumwa area is usually 50-75 within a mile or so of the hydro has just dwindled to a handful over the last 2 weeks.
Hope you guys are having more action.

We stopped there on Tuesday the 13th as we were heading back to SD. It was late afternoon and we saw around 50-60.

There wasn't much activity when we first got there, but right before we left they started moving. Temps was in the teens. Only down side, they were catching fish away from us. The fly byes were so close it was crazy.

My first time passing through there in winter.

I'll post so photos after I get them processed.

I went yesterday. I didnt get an exact count but I'd say around 20 between both adult/juvenile. I came out with some good shots but not as many diving/fishing type shots. I was only there from roughly 1pm-4:30. I'll post some images soon. For now, I just did a quick edit on this one.
