this is one of my favorite spots to set up my hammock and enjoy nature, I'm wondering how I did on capturing just how beautiful of a spot this is as well as technical quality. In the one of my legs, I was careful not to push it too far into the HDR realm because it easily becomes a distraction. CC appreciated!

Sorry too nervous to comment on the technical side of the shots.... Yikes! ;)

I'm looking at these on my phone and #1 looks good to me. I like it best and don't think the HD is too much. It's a little different than what I think of when I hear nature, but it is pretty.

I'm curious, are the tracks still active?

On number one can you crop a bit off the right side so you don't see the building (or storage shed) and the lot? I think if you eliminate that it will make it seem like your not in town a bit more.

Nice shot though! Have you been able to capture a sunrise/sunset up there? I image it's pretty cool up there.

this is right outside of cal poly in san luis obispo, california. I have been up here for sunsets but this was the first time I brought my camera up into the hammock!

I took all of your suggestions, here it is now

Great angle would be an understatement. I'm wondering how you get into the hammock. Do you climb up or down?
As far as the picture goes, see if you can get a better leg model - got a girlfriend?:-P
And considering the rusty nature of the infrastructure, I'd say that you are a brave young man.
