I was unable to capture the three together because of the foliage. For some reason the one cub kept trying to win her affection, the other seemed to care less, it just wanted to eat Salmon. Steve

Jan 17, 2015 07:23 | #6 399 and one of her three COYs from 2013. Unfortunately, only two of the COYs went into hibernation with her. We were fortunate to see them both this year as well. Taken at the wormhole pullout in Willow Flat, Grand Teton NP. We were expecting her to be out in the willows near the river and she suddenly appears about 25 yards from the pullout with all three cubs. They had been in the water. As fast as they were moving to cross the road to Willow Flats, this was one of the few shots I could get off. It was a good lesson though. I only had my old 500 out with one body. Now I always carry both bodies with varying lenses. You never know what you are going to see or how close. By the way, taken from through the sunroof of my truck (yes, we were within 100 yards of her, but we were blocked in, in case anybody makes an issue of the apparent closeness of the shot) Scott
