Hello,
I'm the person who started this thread Eight Years Ago. I dip in and out of visiting POTN on irregular basis now, but it makes my heart smile to see the thread still going strong with lots of lovely images from a diverse range of cameras and lenses. I sincerely hope the thread is still going strong in 2023!
I am no longer shooting with my initial 20D - donated to a friends children and the Zeiss Pancolar Fifty I got started adapting with is now broken & sits in a display cabinet. My Leica Summicron Fifty & Elmarit Nineties are going strong and probably will outlast me! As my sig reflects I upgraded to a 1DmkII and I picked up an EOS-M to experiment with. Even chanced onto a mint Rokkor Fifty f1.4 for it, too.
I've also stepped up to some L lenses in my Life. A 200f2.8L & teleconverter to get shots of a Neighborhood Hawk. I'll try to get images of it posted, but I only got a couple successful images. These days my wife & I have added a Glorious Puppy to our lives and I wiped out the piggy banks for a 70-200f4 L IS because none of the other lenses were coping well with the amazing photo opportunities he provides. I will try to see if I can figure out how to attach a picture of the pup.
Sincerely
Richard W.

The image is from the 70-200f4 L IS
His name is Barclay and he is a 5 month old Australian Shepard Puppy.

Thank You, Brandon!
He is a wonder and a joy. We already had an Aussie Shep byname of Chopper who has taken wonderfully to the new guy. Here's two images shot within moments of that vertical. Same lens, same camera.

^^^ You must be very proud of that pic, as evidenced by not only cross-posting it in multiple threads, but also by posting it twice on this very page.

I have just, finally, gone through every image in this thread. Took me several months to make it through them all, and well worth it. Here is a picture taken of wild bison in Northern Canada. Canon 300 2.8L lens on a Sony Nex 16 MP Camera

Congrats Murrfk - Thats quite the endeavour!
I've just returned to POTN and think I've got at least a hundred pages to catch up on.
Your Image is very dramatic and I think the use of a monochrome conversion really works well here. Kudos.
Query: Is that 300 2.8L an EOS lens or an FD one?
R.

Recently salvaged a 50mm f/2 Yashica off an old and broken Yashica SLR I found in an attic at my step-dad's ... a €15 adapter ring later and it's going ...
