Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 ZE

Two granddaughters, one outdoors and one inside in low light. Sony A7R with Metabones adapter and 100mm Makro at f2 in both cases. Sharp as an eyelash.

My 100/2 ZE came in, and here is just a test shot from last night. I've head the 100L before, and it's very nice and sharp, but you don't really get that 3D effect as with the Zeiss.

Focus is a bit tricky. I've set the "AF point display during focus" menu option to "focused" and this helps (the AF point lights up briefly when getting to focus). I guess there is no option to have that point light up continuously when it's in focus? Yes the green dot at the bottom does that, but when I take the eye down, it's hard to keep the frame composed. Still, this is a bit better than with the Nikon which has no manual focus indicators within the frame.

Spring is coming!

The is the best lens i have, im selling it however along with my 6D and zeiss 35 f/2 as im converting to micro 4/3, mainly for portablity. (I hope that i dont regret it later). Looking for a new home for this magical lens. (Its really hard to depart with this lens, i though about getting a metabone adapter but it wont be as portable as olympus 75 1.8 for example). It is weird that i dont feel the same about the 35 ze, i guess the 100mp is just that unique. Anyhow, if anyone is interested send me a PM.

any difference between the milivus version except for the blue ring/weather "sealing"?
