Makes sense to me. My math did rely on assumption that up uploaded to Flickr full remaining resolution. Since Flickr let's you embed specific size version of image, there isn't the need to have LR limit the pixel size during export ( after your adjustments) . However, if you do limit size and it changes during export, based on my experience, use Sharpening during Export. The photos come out better as the resize needs its own Sharpening separate from any adjustment sharpening.

Great shots, keep me coming.

The reason I export at that size is so that I can upload the 'original' from flicker to the forum so that I can use the auto Exif fill of the forum, that way all of my photo's have the exif available above them when being viewed, not everyone does it, but I find it useful when they do and so do it myself.
Also, I've never noticed any difference in the quality that is displayed on the forum to what I exported from LR.

Cheers
Gus

Very nice shots and thank you for the information on the case 2. I was wondering about it since I have many trees that come into play. Just got the 7DII on Friday but haven't put the Tammy on it yet.

Will in Texas,

As you get more comfortable with the 7D2's auto focus, I think you'll be thrilled. It was a bit of a learning curve for me from the 70D but I don't regret getting one.

I have already gotten photographs that alluded me prior to its purchase.

Have fun

Great images.

My 7D2 comes back tomorrow I hope. I sent it off to NJ for a focus check...not sure it needed it, but I haven't gotten a lot of great testing out of it yet and with some family things and vacation coming up I decided to get it checked.

What's it cost to get the focus checked? Do you have to also ship them your lenses?

Thanks for the good words Kim. I'm probably putting the long Tamron on today and giving it a go at our feathered friends. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do for me.

Another "bird" of a different feather photo. I slightly missed the focus on this one a little.

Free in warranty repair. I did not send in any lenses, just the camera with a note about AI servo being inconsistent.

I got it back today, and I am glad I sent it in, as apparently there was an issue that was causing it to have inaccurate AF from time to time, electrical adjustments were made to the AF system and then it was retested.

The only downside is they reset all of the custom functions, but that was expected and why I took screen shots of all of the screens before sending it in so I could quickly get it back the way it was.

Keyan,

I notice you still have your 70D. Have you decided what you're going to do with yours? I'm still vaccilating. Some days, I think I could use the cash..... other days, I think, I'll use the tilt screen for macros and/or for ground angles for birds.
