And that raises another concern...Sony tends to put an extra high price on their lenses. Have you seen the price for their a-mount 70-200mm f/2.8. $3K! Yikes! Compared that the FE 70-200mm f/4 is a bargain. Ridiculous. :lol:

Across the board, except for the 55mm, the FE lenses are all overpriced imo. OTOH, I guess I would say the opposite about the camera prices. The a7 II is priced pretty impressively I think. :)

I don't like the the notion that they're not going to make f/2.8 zooms. If there was a new Alpha mount camera available I would but it in a heartbeat.

My guess is that it's because of the sales figures. Canon sells a lot of lenses and so does Nikon. Sony can't keep up with Canon and Nikon in this regard. And lower sales figures for lenses means higher prices for lenses.

My rented a7ii arrived last night.

My biggest beef so far is that you can only disable the rear screen using the menus – you can't assign it to a C button.

I have my C4 button to deactivate the rear screen. Doesn't disable it entirely, just blacks it out.
