Week 4 - Day By Day by Daniel E Lee

My girlfriend and I bought a sentence a day book last year. We managed to complete all 365 entries for 2014 and we're continuing on this year. This shot was taken as a real candid moment as my girlfriend was filling it out. I tried to recreate the moment the next day so I could use better composition, but the lighting wasn't as good and it just didn't seem as natural. In the end, I'm happy with this image and figured it made a good week 4 entry!

Choosing this one as my photo of the week. The photos I love of mine are also spontaneous ones, natural is most times better I guess. Setting up and working on a shot is the fun part, which I couldn't manage to get the shot I want yet for this week

Thank you, I really appreciate that one tip I would give you is to forget the technical aspect and just have fun. Up until recently I was so focused on the technicality of photography that I had stopped shooting for fun like when I first begun.

Carry your camera out with you on daily activities and anything that interests you, just forget everything and snap away for fun. Once you take that pressure off yourself, I'm sure you'll have excellent results

I know what you mean. Completed a 365 project, shot randomly and enjoyed my time learning the aspects of the camera. In fact i'm at where i wanna be about photography. It's not my profession, i just have the opportunity to see different places in the world so decided to buy a camera and take photos. Learned to use it fully manual. Enough for a hobbyist imo.

Nice setup and definitely looks like you're having fun That's definitely the right attitude to have and just keep on enjoying what you do!

Absolutely. Not about equipment or any of that stuff. It you are not having fun, why do it.

4/52, Turkish whiskey.

Was trying to take one of those cool smoke on the drink shots but ended up selecting a photo that i took just to try the focus(happened again ).

I have a Hungarian colleague who lived in many places. One day he said "Asians have various type of tea, English people have the 5 o'clock tea, but tea is Turkish in real". I don't know if it's something to be proud of but i agree with him

A Turk drinks an average of 5-10 cups of tea a day. At breakfast it's a must be, it's offered free after meals at the restaurants, when someone visits you the question is generally would you love some tea(not a drink). Yeah, we're kinda addicts i would say

Getting a little ahead of myself for week 5.

Week 4. Saw this glorious weather on my way home from call Saturday morning. It reminds me of Summer, although we're still in the dead of Winter ... in England to boot .
