Hey Guys!

My first name is Bryson, but I usually go by "Shane", but either one is fine.

Just got a 60D for a short film I have started writing, and am going to be using it for a few web shorts with my friends.

I have a background in photography, but this is my first foray into motion picture.

Has anyone else here shot a short film? Did you make it to any festivals, if so, what was your experience like?

Nice to meet everyone!

Whoa, what happened to the forum? Was like going to a party and not knowing anyone or where my friends were.

Welcome! Vinz has done some video work. But, I can't remember if that was with the 60D or 5DIII. Someone else made a cool short film or two with the 60D a while back. I can't recall who, though. Sorry that doesn't help much.

That's what happens when you get a girlfriend. They suck the free time outta ya. It was fun stuff, but didn't really have time for my stuff.

No kidding. They are pretty huge time sinks. Sometimes you get lucky and get a really supportive one... But that's super rare.

Yup. Still in love with this camera compared to the 60D.

As for the photo, I was having trouble capturing how creepy this actually was. It was fog leaking out of the field about 4 ft high, but just hard to capture.

In 60 words or less, apart from the crop vs FF aspect, what do you like more about the 6D over the 60D. Just curious.

Fog is hard to photograph.

maybe the wifi? but IMO you cannot take away the crop vs ff aspect because it plays a huge role. You can pour more water to a bigger bucket. Same as the bigger sensor. It can gather more light. EF lenses also excels way better in FF. I wasn't happy with my 85mm f1.8 when i have my 60D, but when I had the 5D, i started enjoying using it. what i didn't like with the 6D though is it can only go up to 1/4000sec while the 60D can go up to 1/8000

again, IMO only.
