Yes, I've had plenty of issues with metering during our recent string of crappy weather but AF isn't an issue.

Previously, when I got the D800, I had intended to make a full system switch - to replace all my Canon gear with Nikon gear. Owning two systems didn't make sense to me, yet I found I couldn't let go of my TS-E lenses, so I retreated back to Canon. Now, for some reason - probably a mental shift caused by the a7R - I no longer have that mental hangup.

hehe. :lol: For sure, the decision to get the D810 has serious ramifications for 2015 gear purchases. Like that 100-400 II. As much as I would love to have it, it's now fallen off my list. As has the a9 - unless it's truly amazing. Still hoping for something amazing from Canon in 2015 though. :)
