Martin,

Do you think this isa good candidate for B&W.

Did a quick test conversion on it and yes it would make a very good BW, better more striking version than the colour picture

Whew! Finally finished the last page.

Thank you for the link to your BW Forum Martin, I can't wait to learn even more (although I will probably have to wait because I have a family that demands much of the free time I have ).

aam1234, love the picture of the llama!

Having looked at some of the posts here and questions in POTN about monochrome i would suggest that a visit to the link below would be very helpful, its a small forum dedicated to BW and improvment in conversion etc is guarenteed

HeyHey,

im a newbie Photographer, recently got my SLR Canon 450D,

this is like a giant dumb question but people i know dont know what i want to know :)!

Im reading the book that comes with the camera and i wondered with this model, can you take pictures with certain settings to block out specific colours, so e.g i take a picture b/w of a red and blue flower, is it possible to do something to the settings to only allow the red colour to show through? or must it be done by editing on Photoshop?

You may be thinking, "oh my god, what a stupid guy", but i really want to know.

Daniel

Hi Dan,

I think you will only be able to do this in post processing and is pretty easy.
If you want Martin specifically to answer your question, I would suggest you follow the link in his last post to his dedicated monochrome forum.
