A change of pace. Not a bird or a fox (I guess that depends on your definition of a "fox") nor as good as a lot of the bird shots here. Definitely not as good as Pondrader's fox shots.

Jeff your shots are beautiful and very sharp and well focused.

I'm actually toying with the idea of getting a 7D2 and a Tamron 150-600 and using that set up as my "wildlife and bird" set up. But I'm so afraid I'll get a malfunctioning/miss focusing copy. Where did yours come from?

Now Ive been shovelling snow most of the day so Im not in the best of moods BUT

Why would anyone buy from Canon if they didn't believe they could depend on a company as big as Canon to deliver a good product. There are people that believe Apple products are junk and there are others that are absolutely sure all Samsung and LG products are just a pile of S@#$# ........Well you get what Im saying. If the 7DmarkII was junk..... I and 100,000 others would not be able to get the images we do. There will always be the other guy no matter what.

I would personally put all my money in Canon I have tons more images if you need. I

Purchasing a 7D Mark II is not a crap shoot as some people would have you believe. It is a high tech camera with a very large number of user defined settings (more opportunities for user error.) I love mine and really impressed with the quality of the photos. The focusing system is lightning fast and accurate.

Run, don't walk and get one now if you are considering one.

Canon 7D Mark II w/Canon BG-E16 Battery Grip; Canon EOS 50D w/Canon Battery Grip; Canon SL1; Tokina 12mm - 24mm f/4 PRO DX II; Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS; Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS; Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS; Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM; Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS; Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM; Canon Extender EF 1.4x II; Canon Extender EF 2x II; Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash

I have been thinking about upgrading my 7D to 7D2 or 5DM3 for a while. I rented 7D2,did not feel the difference in terms of IQ.
After going through all 251 pages of this thread and the entire 5DM3 tread, I realized that only 20% of the pictures here are better than my 7D+400F5.6 or 7D+70-200F4IS pictures. I want to save $1300 and go with 7DM2 but 5DM3 is absolute winner, 80% of the pictures in 5DM3 thread are "woow"

Is it because people paying $3K for a body are more experienced and serious photographers and shooting better pictures or is 5DM3 far better than 7D2 ?

5DM3,7DM2,450D
500MM F4 IS, 16-35 F4 IS, 100 F2.8 L,70-200F2.8L IS II, 400 L F5.6 (SOLD and immediately regretted), 17-55 F2.8, 55-250 F4-5.6, 430 EX II, YN 460, Pixel Kings, umbrellas, stands, etc.

Aren't 99% of those 5D3 images people/non animal types and not wildlife?
