Can't believe how fast these girls have grown. Had a fun hike around river near our hose and was able to talk them in to a few pictures along the way.

They're great!!!!! Your younger one is a natural model, and your older one is equally as photogenic. Enjoy your kids! My daughter turned 16 last autumn, and I realize it happened far too quickly. All the best to you and your family!

Thanks for all of the kind words. I am planning on taking them out again soon, it is some good practice for me.

Take as many as you can! Before you know it you'll be photographing their weddings.

I love these! Love the separation from the background the poses and the natural beautiful look of the children.

What lens was this - not that it is the lens that makes these photos great, just wondering because the bokeh is beautiful!

Thanks! These were taken with the 85L. Kind of hard to go wrong with that lens, in terms of bokeh/separation.

This is a local river park just down the street from our house. This place is typically crawling with riff-raff in the summers, but we fount out it's nearly empty during this time of year!

May I ask what the settings where for each shot? Or were they take all wide open? Just got my 85L... Excited to go out and use it!

All of them are wide open. It was the first time I went out with the specific intent of shooting wide open. DOF is so thin wide open that I don't often go there but was pleasantly surprised!
