Canon 1D Mark IV

Looking to sell my Canon 1D Mark IV to move on to some other gear in the next few weeks what would a body be selling for and what would you pay for one. Going to send it to CPS for a good check up and have it fixed if needed but it runs great just a small crack in the upper body plate that has been said is fine nothing wrong with camera. Also looking to add a 70-300 L and sell as kit. Asking to see what would be a good price once Im ready to sell.

Look at the completed listings on eBay to see what they are selling for.

Ebay is so odd to me prices are everywhere Im asking here to see what a real person would pay for one not what Im asking for it really.

Agreed. I went to ebay to ballpark a price for a used 70-200 f/4 IS. I was buying, not selling. Only looking at completed sales, I saw them going for mid $600 range to well over $1,000. I got one for $830, on the sale forum here. I think ebay is a poor pricing indicator.

I picked mine up locally for 2k. Count was 96000 and the body is very clean, inside and out. I know they normally go for 2000 to maybe 2500. No idea on the lens though. You would probably do better selling the body and lens separate.

I sold my absolutely pristine copy with box and everything, under 10k on the shutter for $2200 local pick up. Shutter above around 75k, under $2k. Shutter over 100k, mid $1k.

Im going 2000 on it, putting it up on the sell page soon if any one wants it.

I'd regret selling it for 2000. I personally would rather keep it and put money away =/ I had a huge month long battle with myself to sell it or not haha

Seems like ebay prices for the 1D4 have dropped since I checked last year. I remember many selling for $3000 - $3500.
Now more like $1900 - $2500.

Maybe age and competition from the 7D2 has taken a toll.

Absolutely, the decline started with the announcement of the 7d2. I predicted $2000 prices for January and people thought I was being a bit too optimistic. I sold my 1d4 before the announcement for $3300 fortunately, although I really loved having that camera.

I love my 1D mark IV but after a few days with the NX1 Im loving this little camera.
