Over the last summer I had the opportunity to photograph one sweet BMW. This car has everything you need to stand out at both the show and the track. It packs 700hp through its monster turbo and it sounded seriously pissed off even at idle. This was a split feature so not all of my images were included but to see what ones were and to see the images taken by the very talented Chris K Anderson (external link), pick up a copy of the latest S3 magazine.

Thanks!

For all of the photos I used a camera mounted on a tripod and then used some form of off camera flash to get some light from different angles then i merged those images in PS. For the interior photo I put my speed light in the back seat area of the car as well as a one exposure with lower power aimed in through the doorway mounted to a small softbox. I would have used my monolight for everything but speed lights are so easy to just toss around when you're in tight spaces. Most images are at a composite of 4 exposures. If the camera stays in the exact same spot its really easy.
