There it is.

I've been waiting to see if someone could make a better 24mm. I had zero interest in Canon's 24L II. It's coma was not good. The Samyang 24 F1.4 is fantastic, but at $500+ for a manual lens, as good as it is, it's still pricey. Sigma's been dropping serious glass with these ARTs. Very exciting to see how the 24 F1.4A will be, if it's $800~900, it will be absolutely nice. I'm wondering if it will cost more though, due to the wide angle and F1.4. And it will work with the dock. Very nice.

Looking forward to it's comparisons with other 24mm. It will determine if I go manual focus, or AF, depending on how much better it is, compared to Samyang. As I don't need AF.

I'm still holding onto hope that an 85mm Art will be announced at CP+ this week.

The 24mm is the one I've been waiting for. While I expect it will cost more given the pricing of the competition, if it comes in under $1,000 and performs like the 35A and 50A, they will sell millions of these babies.

Way to go Sigma, looking forward to see if this baby is as sharp as the rest of the ART lineup

It really makes me happy when they announce lenses like this! I can see myself lugging around only Sigma primes in the future combined with two Canon zooms.

I really would like to see a complete fast prime line from Sigma Art. Not only the 85 and 135 but everything:

I really hope this thing doesn't have the same AF issues as the 50A. I must have gone through 3-4 copies of the 50A on my 6D, all with front or backfocus issues that MFA couldn't fix (fix for one distance, other distances get screwed).

It took a bit to dial in my 35 & 50 Art (+6 & +5) but once in they work well, particularly to 50mm. Looking forward to seeing some results/tests but I'm putting my name on one.

Well there is a dock to fix MFA based on focus distance.

I had a small love affair with my 24L II that I had for 4 months. Loved it and would not hesitate to buy it back again.

However... Sigma 35 is amazing and if this thing matches the 35 well then... I may be be buying me a 24 back again but this time Sigma. The 24L II was perfect with absolutely no complaints however at $1200 on the used market if they price the Sigma at 899-999 then give it about a year and let the prices fall and you got your self a great contender.
