Drew, must have been a slow day I only count about 25 bears in the river. I'm sure there were more on the bank and behind you. Thanks for the great time this year.

I work there so I spend the whole summer out in the Sanctuary taking people to see bears. It is limited to 10 a day decided by lottery. I might be little biased but it is the best place to see brown bears.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to spend 2 different guided trips with Drew and his coworkers, and I must say they are the best you will find. Drew is not lieing when he said it is the best place to view bears, I totally agree. Can't wait to go back but I have to wait a year.

Just as a side note, we've had warmer than normal weather the past couple weeks and the bears in YNP are emerging already. Confirmed reports of griz activity this past Monday.
