It's 30 outside my house, and they are forecasting cold this weekend & possible wintry mix on Monday. I hope the grocery stores don't sell out of bread & milk.

Whenever a blizzard is expected, the national news will show bare bread shelves and empty milk cases. I get the feeling that people in the Northeast live on French toast all winter.

There's considerable plant material in this scene:

Wow I didn't realize it gets that hot. I guess there are always two sides to the coin.

I had Mexican food last night too! I thought about taking a photo of it, but opted to eat it instead. :-)

The weather folks here are getting more & more cautionary about what's coming Monday/Tuesday for us. I guess they don't want a repeat of snowmageddon/ice jam like we had last year. I think they'd rather predict for the worst and not have it happen than get caught off guard. I halfway expect a run on the grocery stores today.

Like the flower, mrfixitx! Zinnia?

Here's my take on a plant product. It's not as artistic as Renata's star anise & cinnamon, but I was playing with the MP-E65 again today. I'm working on using it better. I was testing out the LED ring light I got to use with it. 1 shot, not stacked. I think the bottom right corn was a little larger so it's a touch OOF.

Mark was right on... They are black peppercorns indeed.

And what you're not seeing are the shots that didn't work out with the MP-E... that's why I keep practicing. :-)
