@dmihel

That cat really knows how to pose, as if its leading the revolt against humans.

Very nice approach on the post process, really compliments the sinister cat.

Thank you.

Actually evil mastermind thoughts are not usual (who knows? ;)) for Fonya (so the cat is called), but that day he really had a cause. ))

I'm a little late to the party and only check for it occasionally, but for anyone interested in Magic Lantern, there appears to be a functioning Alpha! http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=14309.0 (external link)

Obviously it will have issues, being an Alpha and all, but it's progress! I don't necessarily have a need for it right now, but I know some people love the features it ads. Now you can try it. :)

After many weeks of painful dilemma, I finally decided to sell my 70D and probably wait for 5D mk IV.
I really like 70D, but there are several features i found missing after my year usage. Unfortunately There are no tests, which would tell what camera is more suitable for my hands and style.

I never had issues with noise or overall IQ on 70D, it´s very capable camera. MFA feature, DualAF focusing, WIFI, all these features are great. Shadow recovery is even better than on 5D mk III.

i just get used to 5D ergonomy and I really miss few features on 70D more than ever:

- bigger body with bigger wheel and joystick for quick AF point selection. 5D just fits my hands so well, 70D is small for my hands.
- metering system linked to AF points (without this, AutoISO on 70D is not very reliable in most complex scenerios. I´am not center point only shooter, for them, this is not a big deal, but i like composing on the fly and selecting right AF points.
- bigger VF (even when 70D has big viewfinder comparing to other crop cameras, FF viewfinder is something completely different, i really enjoy finding right composition on FF thanks to bigger VF)

I learned so much with 70D and thanks to your kind comments and amazing photos guys, i would probably quit photography without your inspiring images!

I keep my notifications on to not miss any of your pictures posted here.

Thank you again !

Hey hokie, I was closely keeping tab on it the moment it was announced. Then came the first Alpha and to my dismay it did not work with my 70D.

The trend is that early birds(me included) who purchased the 70D, mostly on 2013; the alpha won't install. The earlier serials won't be supported until a stable build is released.

According to the reports so far if your serial number is 6871947635 or less, the alpha build wont load.
If your serial number is higher it should load. That's what the reported trend has been.

But there were few who are lucky and somehow managed to install the alpha despite the serial trend.

Anyway, I really wanted to try it(just to help the testing), I guess I'll just wait for the stable release.
