I went back in and reworked these shots from 2011 to apply more recent post processing. Shooting at 800mm standing in a boat has its challenges but fortunately there was no wind to shake things up.

Canon 1D Mark IV | Canon 800L (f/5.6) | Hand Held From Boat
F/7.1 | ISO 400 | 1/2000th sec.

What an incredible set! The clarity just boggles my mind, knowing I can't steady a 400 makes it even more amazing. You should post a side by side comparison with your original processing.
