Thats good to hear

They might be dumping the old versions of stock that had all the problems. Again I have no clue on that, but the plugs in the images are the old versions.

I was testing my 360 just yesterday and it stopped after about 13 full pops with smell coming from the battery. I suppose mine is from the stock with all the problems...?

What's the difference between the new and old plugs?

So the plug has to match the flash and can be used on any brand of the Godox batterypack.

My Godox AD360 has the version 1 plug. My FlashPoint Streaklight 360 that I just got from Adorama has the version 3 plug.

If smell coming from battery.switch plug into the other plug in.see if that works,Most likly due to chip burn out from the top control part.

It not the plug that cause any problems with the units. Version 3 plug is the newer flashes. I'm in no way saying they are selling bad version of flashes. They might have not updated the images on adorama.
I'm just glad to see deals on the units no matter who you buy them from.

Very good,That means at least you get new plug version which GODOX change from about one year ago.
After new plug they put the more stable capacitor and better part on the main board.
I have complain to GODOX,They do not let us know what's new and no serial number.
I learn this hard way,So we only Air in our light and make sure the most current production.......

Are you using a 2 to 1 cable or just a single cable? The burn smell sound to me like its one of the chips sets, there are 2 matching chips on each side.

I'm using the 2 to 1.

The single cable fails as well on either side.

I'm using the 2 to 1.

I got a 2 to 1 cable off ebay and it blew out my chip sets on 2 different packs. I got replacement chips off ebay and fixed both units. I ended up throwing the 2 to 1 cable in the trash and bought 2 new ones from Edward. Sometimes you can get a few bad piece and units from different places, but now I don't have to worry about since I now buy my stuff from cheetahstand. Every item is tested before it leaves his warehouse.

Looks like i got the version one plug. Should i return the unit because it's old stock? I was told that Adorama was selling the latest stock lights and not dumping old stock.

Regarding the Godox/Cheetah S-type Bracket, is there a limit to modifier size? I have used a 60" octa but am wondering if that is risky given the plastic mount. Any known failures?
