Panther Creek Falls (Favorite waterfall, EVER!)

This is by far my favorite waterfall that I've gotten to shoot. Just simply amazing being beneath this monster!

Panther Creek is also my favorite waterfall, it's really unlike anything I've seen, like something out of Tolkien. I'm going to be back there in May and then again in late October, can't wait!

Sure, the October time would work better. I haven't booked anything yet but hopefully I will have itinerary figured out soon.

That's a nice photo of Panther! I would like to see you get some shots there with the lush vegetation this spring!

Great shot. I was there this past fall, and it is a beautiful spot. I wish I had longer to explore it. I'll definitely visit it again if I get back up there.

It is very easy to find, despite the people complaining that they couldn't find the trail. I had zero issues whatsoever when following the directions posted above...

Incredible shot- I agree with the poster above, I think it's one of the best compositions I've seen of the falls.

I'd love to get up to that area in the next year or two in order to do a "waterfall photography tour" (self-guided, of course)... what's the best time of year to go in order to make sure everything is bright green? May/June?

I would recommend May/June. Any later and some of the falls up here in the PNW are running low and slow.
It really depends though. You will see waterfalls from me shot year round. Certain falls are better in the summer, some are better in the spring, and some look best in autumn. It all depends on the falls you want to shoot.

The way I determine when I'm going to shoot a specific fall is to 1) find the waterfall, 2) search flickr for that waterfall, 3) See which photo of that waterfall I like the best, and then 4) view their EXIF info to see which month it was taken in. That gives me a good idea of what time of the year it will be flowing best to my taste.
