That juvenile eagle series is spectacular. I've decided next winter I'm going for eagles....where exactly I don't know but I'm going to find them! Thanks for the

Thank you, it was a nice area with a lot of swans. Becide the Mute Swans, there was also Tundra and Trumpeter Swans as well.

Thank you, I was very happy that I actually anticipated him flying away! A lot of options for finding them in the winter. I know there are several places along the Mississippi River that are great in the winter!

Yes, these were with the Better Beamer.

I haven't forgotten the 7Dii
Speaking of a better beamer, I should have used one for this shot--it just doesn't fit well out the hole in the blind. If anyone knows this bird please tell me, he(she) is new to

Awesome shots of the new to me Goldfinch, awesome shots indeed AND so cool to see the transformation. To my uneducated (and possibly corrupted) mind I would have thought they were completely different birds.
We did put out a finch feeder with the little flat oblong seeds---so that worked it appears, in an effort to bring in different species.
OK, now tell me why you pictures look so much better than mine!
And on that sky--where I live we've had almost 4 months of it, with 3-5 days of partly sunny and this is normal. Even when I went to Canada a couple of weeks ago I felt like I was home except the mountains were missing
