Low end ISO of 25, or 50.

I for one, would gladly trade less megapixels for better low light ISO AND FPS. If it's a 50 (or 80)MP camera, I'll pass as it's not going to increase low light ISO or FPS.

Then get the 5D4 when it comes out.

The 5Ds is meant for high-resolution. It's not an action camera. That's why Canon offers three other action cameras (1Dx, 5D3 and 7D2) and the 5Ds is not one of them. At present, there's nothing whatsoever for low-ISO/high-resolution non-action shooters.

Whoopsie, looks like can't read a thread title. I've got no idea how I read that at 5D Mark IV, I must really need some caffine this morning...

09/2018 - 5Ds Mark II = 60MP
03/2022 - 5Ds Mark III = 70MP
09/2025 - 5Ds Mark IV = 80MP
03/2029 - 5Ds Mark V = 90MP
09/2032 - 5Ds Mark VI = 100MP

2034 - End of the world! ;)

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

Since most of this won't come true, why not just add to this.

-80MP
-ISO25 to 256,000
-1/10,000 shutter speed
-Carbon fiber body
-Sony Sensor DR
-7-8FPS
-Dual CF Card slot
-GPS/WiFi/NFC/Bluetooth

might as well add an integrated selfie stick while you're at it

other than 256000 iso, not that far fetched is it? They want to price it near $4000, that's what it would take for me to buy it. Really not even entertaining the idea of a 5Ds

Sony A7rii/A7riii/A9 - FE 12-24/4 - FE 24-240 - CV 21/3.5 - FE 35/2.8 - SY 35/1.4 AF - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - EF 135/1.8 Art - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Astro Rok 14/2.8 - Tamron 28-75/2.8 RXD, 70-200/2.8 VC

There must be something wrong with folks who lust after an upgrade to a camera that's been out less than 4 months. You people need to do something other than drool over equipment. Go make some images. Get outside. Get some fresh air. Anything other than fantasizing about a new camera.

Maybe you should try some of that fresh air thing when you start replying to threads that are over a month old?

True it was older than I realized. But that makes it even more ridiculous. Yearning for an update for a camera that is only about a month old? Unless it was all intended as a joke, I'll stand by what I said.

The mk4 is here slightly earlier than these predictions would have us believe!

I remain very happy with my mk2 and have no plans to swop it.

Take a look at the first post in this thread. See the sarcastic smiley face I posted when I started the thread? See that I started the thread right after the moment the camera was announced?

Yes, it was started as a joke.

I wondered about that. I'll back out quietly now.

Oh, no worries. Just wanted to point out that it was in fact a joke! I posted it because I've always chuckled/rolled my own eyes when I see people worrying about what might possibly come next when the current revision is practically brand new, or in this case, a product that isn't even on the market yet.
