I just got this new (to me) lens Monday and only had about 30 minutes to try it out.
I'm going to love it!!! :-D

Thank you EBG. I think you will find this is one of the best lens out there (unless of course you are talking those huge things you need a forklift to carry! LOL). Mine is on a 1D MK III and the AF is ridiculously fast. Enjoy. :)

This lens plays nice with my 7D2. I'm a novice at tracking moving subjects, but I got many shots I was satisfied with.

After spending an hour stalking and creeping up on this eagle, I could feel the difference in weight from the L lens compared to the non-L.
This was the closest I have ever gotten to this eagle, but it's still a major crop.

I was able to get close to this blue belly lizard from my yard, but he wasn't too sure about me.
