Last year my 1D3 would not turn on. Out of warrantee it went to Canon service. They cleaned it, adjusted it and replaced the power switch. Total cost $0. That made me a huge Canon Service supporter. I'm now a Canon CPS member.

Mar 04, 2015 04:03 | #156 8 year old Canon EF-S 17-55 failing to auto focus past 30 MM or so (hunted endlessly on 7D & 40D. $219 with a comment from repair that there was dust in the optical assembly which was removed, and auto focus was re-calibrated to factory standards. The repair was successful, and as first experience with Canon service, I'm a satisfied customer. Regards,

Mar 06, 2015 18:00 | #157 My 70-200 f2.8 IS II has been a absolutely stunning lens. I have used it for everything from sports to birding with fantastic results. When I first upgraded from 7D to 7D II the lens required NO micro adjust. It was perfect. Suddenly about 2 weeks ago the photos got very soft. Out of focus actually. I tried to micro adjust it, but no setting worked. So I sent it to Canon, the Virginia center.

jay125 the title fairy put me in therapy More info | Mar 08, 2015 20:41 | #159 I had the main dial on my 60D replaced. Cost $239.00. When it came back, it just had the part number listed, not what failed or what action they took. Probably a quick remove and replace. Same experience as everyone else. They need a cc number before they will even get into the repair.
