Beeping Camera

I've been practicing flash photography, I have got to where I can set up in about five minutes, and to where I don't have to think about it I just do.
Now my question is, I take a hand held light meter reading, take the readings and enter them in Manual settings of my camera, I have to lower the shutter real low so I can see the subject in ambient light, I then use live view to set manual focus on the subject, I then set my shutter back to the meter reading I took with the meter, OK, now when I press the wireless trigger I hear the camera beep, would someone please tell me why it beeps when I half way press the wireless trigger button, I was thinking that if everything that can be set to manual is set to manual then why would the camera beep.

It's probably confirming that your focus is correct. Go into the settings and turn off the bloody beep.

Sound settings should be in the camera. You can turn off the beep.

I thought that when I half pressed the trigger button that the ambient light may have had something to do with it and wondered if it over road some of the manual settings. I am model and photographer, so when I set the camera then take my position I point the remote trigger towards the camera, I half press the button then move it out of the camera view the camera beeps.
