Had the opportunity to shoot volleyball for the very first time when I shot the BC College (PACWEST) Provincial Championships last week. I knew going into the game, from comments here on this forum, that volleyball is a tough sport to shoot. I can now verify that. I spent most of the first game working on timing and getting as much of the "flow" of the game as possible...and most of my initial shots were way off. Was able to work my way around to various spots around court and then also found some windows three floors up that gave what I thought was a cool angle on the game. Here are some samples. Full set at http://christianjstewart.zenfolio.com/p32742823 I will say that gym was much darker than I thought it would be (it is a newer gym) so was using high ISO. Noise may be an issue in some. C&C appreciated!
