I use mine a lot in low light, and that middle focus point seems to be able to see in the dark. Is it perfect for everything, absolutely not. But is it usable if you actually take the time to get to know how to use it. For sure. While I will be the first to admit, I think a 7D2 is in my future to replace my T3i, I am more than happy with my 6D for what I shoot. I plan to replace my 7D with a 7Dmk2 soon Gear List~Website

RileyNZL Senior Member More info | The only thing the 6D is really lacking in AF, is the 1Dx/5D3/7D2's ability to keep tracking moving object across the frame. If you're tracking the subject and keeping it in the same place in the frame so the AF's points aren't switching around the 6D shouldn't have any problems. I am still on 1.1.3 since that is the only one that works with ML. And I use enough of the ML options that I can't just give it up. kikislater wrote in post #17471445 Furthermore, 6D firmware update 1.1.6 should improve this tracking ! Name is Ron.

sirquack Goldmember More info | Mar 12, 2015 13:51 | #2624 Updating the firmware is not nearly as scary as some people make it out to be. I have updated my firmware on all of my electronics without issue. On the 6D, you download the file, put it on your memory card and tell your camera to look for the update on the card. It goes through a reboot or two and then you are good to go. JM Photos wrote in post #17471786 When is this due? And how do I go about updating my 6D? Never updated a cameras firmware before. sirquack Goldmember More info | Mar 12, 2015 14:49 | #2625 A shot from a concert on Monday this week. I am really enjoying the 24-70 I recently acquired. It is not quite as fast as my prime, but that extra stop helps me keep the ISO where I need it to be to stay clean.
