It's a good idea !
I hope you will have a nice weather during this trip to well enjoy some visits in Paris.

However, I'm a bit concerned by the date you refer to.
In my opinion, if we speak about "salon de la photo" in Porte de Versailles exhibition centre, it doesn't begin 15 November but 5 November, and more precisely from 5 to 9 November.

It's unfortunate, I could have expanded my visit had I known sooner. I get the French magazine, Photo, which had an article on the Grande Palais exhibition, but did not alert me to the other event.

Ah yes, I understand why the dates didn't match !

Don't be disappointed Advaitin, the exhibition in Grand Palais must be more interesting that the one in Porte de Versailles.
You will certainly see in Grand Palais a great exhibition of wonderful photos taken by the best international photographers, it's an artistic exhibition.
The one of Porte de Versailles is much more focused on the gears. It's a show where all the manufacturers display their new cameras, lenses and so one.

Oh don't, John. That would be personal heaven to me.

And I just finished looking at the photos my mother took on her most recent trip there, last week....
Being on the other side of the planet since 2004 really pulls at the "Europe is so beautiful" heart-strings.
