Love the shots! Number 1 hands down for me, with perhaps just a touch more light on her. Great work overall from MPOV

Capture today, for everyone to enjoy tomorrow!:D

Thanks all. This was a very fun evening after a long but very good day. We had spent the day doing a multi location shoot. After we dropped off our model at her place and ate some supper we decided to head out and walk around Paris. We decided to travel very light, grabbing only two cameras and two lenses and away we went. We wandered the streets of Paris for 5 hours that evening. These are just a couple of my favorites from the evening.

Focus is soft in both images, with the focal point being the forward foot in the first image. Subject looks underexposed.

105mm at 1/60 would need a tri or monopod / flash combination to get a sharper image. You could also have upped the ISO to increase the shutter speed. Your subject looks slightly overexposed in this image as well.

IrishK, thanks, you make very valid points. Had this been a planned shoot (as our daytime one had been) we would have been armed with the proper gear etc. and taken the time to get the shots just right.

The top image was captured at 9 pm (21:00), well after sunset. The lower image was captured at 8 pm. When I saw them on the computer I just loved the slight softness in both of them and how it helped communicate the atmosphere of this evening in Paris. At least it communicated that in my mind. Maybe you had to be there. Anyway, I just loved these two images, partially because of their softness and I hate soft images.

Well anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks again.
