Ready for Spring Yet?

It was actually very much spring-like today in my neck of the wood. I enjoyed a 3-hour birding session. Here are some of the shots I took:

Very good set, Linh, and yes I'm ready to see green buds like you've shared.

Cool shot of the GBH, looks like it had the air conditioning on full/gape.. I've seen two flights of GBH at the local lake this year where it was fairly hot for the season and they both flew with an open gape.. They were'nt flying away from anything or spooked so to say, just looked like they were flying with their mouths open to cool off between hunting/gathering and nesting duty.... Love the Downy shot and the Cardinal shot is sublime/although sublime is on the other side of the spectrum.. I don't get so see them in person here in Cali n stuff, it's a good shot!.. Kudo's on the Kingfisher.. That bird still laughs at me and still somehow eludes my attempts to get a good close up shot of it. The Belted Kingfishers are here still at Pinto lake but they are very skittish.

Gorgeous Downy image, and the male Cardinal amongst the buds certainly screams Spring doesn't it. You've certainly presented an amazing array of birds who too, I'm sure, are ready for Spring.
