He went over the bank and then just curled up for a snooze.

These little grebes are just too cute! First one I saw thought it was a duckling. Since they're a diver, most of the time they are wet. Nice to see one all dry and fluffy. Excellent shots, Lester. Flooded area? Looks like a mostly submerged fence there.

Thanks Rog. Yes they look quite scraggy when wet poor little things.

This was a small lake edge. Hope the little fellows around when he is in breeding plumage, so are lovely then.
