I just leave it out in the house so it's easy to grab when there is something I want to capture or just take it and throw it in my front seat. I still love my 6D but like the size and convenience of the a6000 when I don't want to lug around the 6D with the kids.

I usually keep my A6000 attached to a digiscope but yesterday I shot it 'freehand' with the 70-200g, in anticipation of the arrival of the 24-240mm Sony I wanted to re-familiarize myself with what it can do not attached to a scope- ![]() How do you like the 70-200? I had read somewhere that the 24-240 was great up to 100mm and was soft at 240. Of course that is just talk and you have to take things like that with a grain of salt. frozenmoments925 wrote in post #17478712 do you guy prefer the 50 1.8 or 35 1.8 on your A6000? I don't have the 35mm but I do have the 50 and I love that lens. It is super sharp. I think I'm going to wait for the new 28mm 1.8 Name: Theron

I find the 50 to be a bit long at times, but agree that it's a great lens. I shot some NCAA March Madness tournament action with it, and while not a pro camera, it performed pretty well. Most of these are 1/800 @f4 and ISO 5000 with the Sony 16-70 lens. If I had a fast focusing 50mm f2 or faster lens, I think I could turn out some pretty good action images. The camera does draw some comments on the sidelines IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rH3ckr IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/qL8Cvj IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rH8rVc 1D4, 6D, 7D2, Sony a6000 with Sony16-70, Rokinon 12mmf2, Canon lenses: 17-40L, 17-55 f2.8, 10-22, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 70-200mm IS 2.8, 300mm 2.8 IS, 580EXII (3), 430EX, Alien Bees.

I shoot a lot of HS basketball and I just recently starting using the a6000 with the 50mm 1.8 for around the rim shots. I too have gotten some looks from the other guys. They make comments like, "Is your real camera broken Name: Theron

I've shot this camera in a not too well lit high school gym and the results were ok for internet sharing, but that's about it. I originally bought the camera because I was getting tendonitis from big lenses. I figured that I would use it as a walk around and to shoot the grandkids, but it's pretty capable. I have used it as a second camera at a wedding, feature shots at the Daytona 500, sideline stuff at a football bowl game, and now this. I like this camera so much that I might buy the A7. I think I like it the most when I'm walking back to the car at the end of the day IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rH8AW5 IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rEWYgh IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/qLeRjJ IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/rqFaPY 1D4, 6D, 7D2, Sony a6000 with Sony16-70, Rokinon 12mmf2, Canon lenses: 17-40L, 17-55 f2.8, 10-22, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 70-200mm IS 2.8, 300mm 2.8 IS, 580EXII (3), 430EX, Alien Bees.
