Used Canon 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS Price?

Ok, here goes...downsizing.

When I bought my 6D last year, I hung onto my 40D as a back up camera. Well, I find myself using the 6D and never using the 40D.
I'm now thinking of selling the 40D and using only the 6D. I know the 40D isn't worth much used but it never gets used any longer.
I have several lenses for the 40D which are of no use on the 6D, one of which is a very nice EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS.
I can't find much info on what a good, fair selling price would be for the lens.
Can someone give me an honest answer?

I also have a EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens that would have to go also. Fair price on it?

Both lenses were purchased my new NIB in '07 and are in excellent condition.

For the EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM, Lenstag has a suggested value of $680, which is less than the refurbished price from Canon ($704).
The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM is $376 refurbished from Canon, so maybe $300-350.
The prices would be dependent on the condition.

Both are in excellent condition. I have the boxes for each.

If I decided to sell they will be listed in the proper forum.

You can also use the search function to look at prior listings and see what selling prices have been. Based on those I would also say DG's estimates are optimistic.

Ebay has an option where you can search out items that have recently sold:

Thanks for the info. I don't ever use Ebay so I wouldn't have seen the prices there.
Before I put the lenses up for sale, I have to sell the 40D. I wouldn't want to be stuck with it and no good lenses for it.
I'm still thinking...

you could always check out KEH and see what they would give you for the Body if you don't find someone else to sell it to. I'd imagine it would be about half what they are selling one of equal condition of yours. But it would be better than sitting around collecting dust.

Due to the current selling prices on used 40D cameras, I've decided to keep it and the lenses. They won't get dusty in the camera bag.
I've seen listings for $250 40Ds and they aren't moving.
I know mine is 8 year old technology but I just can't let it go for that kind of $'s.
