As I did with Joe Satriani, I was able to smuggle my T3 and nifty 250 into Ruth Eckerd Hall Friday night to catch that Little 'Ol Band from Texas. Had a blast. ZZ Top still bringing the rock after 40 years! Here's a few shots I grabbed:

Again, just me being a fan in the audience from the 13th row with my nifty little T3!

Saw these guys in Germany back in the 80's. Still rockin' I see.

Good shots. Nice and sharp.

Nice photos, seeing great shots like this come from a T3 makes me happy. Also impressed that you were able to take these at Ruth Eckerd, security used to be pretty strict there about cameras.

Thanks. Security wasn't bad at the Joe Satriani show. I wore cargo shorts and had the body in one pocket and the lens in the other and walked right in.
For ZZ Top they had people checking bags at the doors. I had put the camera body in my wife's purse and the lens in my pocket. The guy saw the camera and said we couldn't bring it in (which is BS as everyone and their uncle has a cell phone!) So we walked back out towards the parking lot and I stuffed the body in my pants. We went to another door and I stood to the outside of my wife as security checked her bag and we walked right in that time. We got to our seats and I slapped the lens on and put it under my seat until the lights went down.

They're coming back to Tampa in May with Jeff Beck at the amphitheater at the Florida state fairgrounds. (I can't keep up with the name changes on that venue, LOL) I've got seats in the orchestra section, so I'm going to smuggle it in again and see what I can get!
