Deadhorse Point State Park

Finally had an opportunity to create some images after multiple trips to Moab over the years. In past trips, conditions were not conducive to photography. This trip, finally conditions worthy...

Deadhorse Point in Monochrome:

Good capture of the subdued light at this time of day.
Needed to switch to the eyeglass link with the gray background to really see it.
A bright white bg overwhelms it.

I like #1 as b/w captures the feeling of the moment better.

Both look good, however, I prefer b&w. It looks as if in b&w was more contrast and sharpening.

To me, #2 has a lot of potential . I would work on it some more in Lightroom or Photoshop and try to lighten it up a bit. The color here (sky) is fantastic and I don't think B&W does the scene justice.

Agreed! Great shot nonetheless.
Give it a little punch and I think this photo would look even better!

I did notice that it was darker on the website than on my screen when editing. Now that I am back from Big Bend NP, I'll be re-calibrating my screen and doing some additional PP. Thanks for the feedback!!
