Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is SPRING. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Now that most of us are fully into SPRING.. show us what SPRING is like for you!

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday Sunset and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Welcome back Joayne! Hope you had fun in Hawaii. I didn't get in on the before/after shots last time, but when I saw this week's theme, I thought I'd take a little tongue in cheek approach. This is a spring I'm going to have to deal with before long (maybe this spring).

This may be the original spring on the garage door. It doesn't look too good, does it?

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

It looks terribly threatening! I suggest you see a professional, lavanut. If this thing breaks, it could inflict some major injury upon you!
Keeping my fingers crossed ;)

This spring we have a nice crop of wild violets growing in the back yard. Not sure what that white filament is coming out of the viola, didn't notice it when I took the picture.

A spider's dragline is my guess, too. Many spiders leave these safety lines when they travel in plants at night. I find them in the morning. They're easier to see when the light hits them just right.

Thanks, a spider's dragline works for me.

FYI, I do have someone coming out Friday to deal with the spring. We've had several folks at work who've had to replace springs lately, and they also said to get it replaced sooner rather than later. The door is one of those old pressed wood/fiberboard things, so I know it would be heavy and difficult to deal with if the spring broke. As you suggested, I'll leave it to a garage door expert to fix it!

Joayne... broke two toes?? How'd you do that? I know you know better than to walk on the lava fields in sandals.

Nice violet Don. I see those kinds of drag lines on plants from time to time too, especially in the spring! However, wild violets are an annoying weed in a part of my yard. At least they're kind of pretty (when they're not annoying).

I may be fascinated with volcanoes, but the name's Lisa.

Very nice spring color Crow. Well photographed. The little spider rope just a bonus. Kinda cool what pictures sometimes reveal.:-)
