A little over two years ago I began volunteering taking photos at my church for their FB page. When I first started I'd only previously focused on landscapes and a little bit of motorsports, so shooting people was very foreign to me. I have since learned to love taking photos of people and capturing emotional moments. Each week is basically the same routine... same location, same people, etc... so it can be quite difficult and sometimes discouraging to find new things and ways to shoot the same event over and over. It has helped me to hone my skills, learn the limits of my equipment and grow as a photographer. It's also nice to look back at the beginning when I first started and compare where I am now. These are some of my recent favorites. Most of them are shot at very high ISO due to the crappy lighting in the sanctuary (which is actually an elementary school gym). Most are with my old t3 and the rest are with my new 7DII. Thanks for looking.

Amazingly touching images. it challenges me way beyond what I've been able to do in the same type of setting.

Very stirring, emotive images. Very, very nicely done.
Love the composition and symbolism of #2.

Really nice work. I also was just expecting more snapshotish pictures but was blown away by what I saw. As a fellow Christian I say thank you for giving me a different view of how I can be taking pictures of our church family.
