I got my 10-18mm Lens a few weeks ago, and just started doing some landscapes. Here they are :)

Im experimenting with different times of days, weather and looks. Im relatively new to this, trying different filter methods and post methods... so C&C welcome.

These two was taken at sunset, with no clouds:

These 3 were taken yesterday, about mid afternoon:

Very nice. Did you need to use any ND's for those exposures? Would love to see the EXIF info.

Hi yes, I used ND filters most of the time. Its a vairable ND phottix filter. I just turn it until I get a few seconds.

I shoot at f11-f18. for softening the water I shoot at about 2-6 seconds exposure.
As I comped the images, the EXIF is from the sky exposure, so not that slow, about 1/10 shutter.

Thanks Nazmo.

How are you doing the comp? Are you masking by hand or do you use a program or plug-in?

I usually just use a layer mask, and a graduated fade, as if I had a graduated ND filter.

I find the HDR effect programs give arent to my taste

We had this sun circle effect yesterday and I had to pull over and take a few shots.
All taken with my 10-18mm STM lens, 70D and a tripod.
2 exposures per image

I've always wanted to visit South Africa. My company has offices in Jo'berg and Capetown, and for many years I supported them. Unfortunately, they were lean budget years so I never got a chance, and now I'm in a new area and doubt the situation will improve.

One small critique I could make is to watch your dust spots.... #4 in particular (at least 9 that are pretty visible).

hey njstacker22. Im actually not sure how i missed that! quite embarrasing. Sometimes you so focussed on another bit you miss the obvious things.

Quite curious what it is. could be water drops.

Thank you!
