I have always been in love with the light produced by a ring light not to mention the awesome catch lights it produces. I was not sure if I wanted a strobed ring light or a constant. After doing a bunch of research over the past year I decided that I was going to make my own constant light ring light. After Seeing Dani Diamonds ring light my mind was set I had to build one similar since it was so different from all the ring lights I've seen other people have made.

Its a prototype I am going to do some r&d for my next version;)

Total cost to make $200

Some guys from our local photography club built a very similar one. It has two circles of bulbs like Joey's but they made a straight bottom so it can be mounted on a table top with a couple of clamps. It also has a dimmer for each ring of bulbs.
