It was happening no matter what f/ was used.

I had the 77mm cpl on first. Then the lee filter kit ring screwed into the cpl then then holder with lee big stopper.

I think your stack was just too long for the focal length you were using, and they got into the FOV. Try a longer f/l, and I'll bet the vignetting goes away.

Yes.

I'd bet your screw in CPL added too much distance to the Lee filter holder causing the vignette. I use the wide angle 77mm Lee ring with my Big Stopper and Little Stopper and the vignetting is minimal and fixed in LR with the lens correction profile.

I'm new to long exposure photography but interested. Just bought a cheap ND1000 filter, XCSource brand, for about $20. A comparison with and without the filter follows. These are 100% crops from the center, and straight out of Lightroom without any edits. Looks good to me.

I have been wanting a good ND setup for a while now but have been holding off due to price. Now, I'm considering buying something cheap just to play with. Did you buy the XCSource straight from their site? I mean, for $11 bucks, how can you go wrong?
