Wow! I would have never guessed that just mentioning Cal State Long Beach would bring out that so many of you were either classmates or went to school so near by. As to Huntington Beach, I went to my first sorority/fraternity type party there at 18 in 1969. I still remember how peculiar the line in the middle of the road looked as I headed back to Long Beach on the Coast Highway. Although I made it back safe and sound, it taught me something early. Don't do that! :)

Maureen, I began attending Cal State in 1969 and finished at the end of 1974 so we were probably there at least part of the time together. Do you remember the Robertson/Steele lecture that made so many headlines? I didn't see it but I walked down the outside hall during it and wondered why there were a ton of students hanging around and trying to see in the lecture hall. My best friend was my next door neighbor from the time that I was 10 and she and I roomed together in college. She was my Maid of Honor and now lives near Humboldt but we still keep in touch. I also was able to hear Leonard Nimoy read his poetry in the courtyard in front of the bookstore.

Joayne, I took a cooking class at Long Beach City College and took an art class at Harbor College.

Suzy and Stina and each of you who posted on my shots, thank you. Although the pic of my daughter wasn't all that I would have wanted, I liked the way the baby was focused, including his little hand resting on his mama's arm. Ian, I bet your bunny had a great life. :) Our bunnies live quite safely all over our back yard and share the ground and woods with squirrels and a few other animals. Sadly, we don't have as many wild animals in daylight as we did previously; they mostly sidle around at night, particularly the deer. So interesting to hear everyone's back story. :)

I have never been to California. Someday I'll find myself there, I'm sure.

I live in SW Ontario, right at the bottom of Lake Huron, near Michigan. I have been all the way to Vancouver Island, my grandparents lived there. On one big trip we went through Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana. I've also been in Ohio and Kentucky. My big trips have taken me to Russia and Ukraine.

I've been to half of Canada, but only the western half. I've never been east of Ottawa.

One of my "lists" in life is water bodies that I've been swimming in.
Lake Huron
Lake Erie
Lake Ontario
St. Clair river
St. Lawrence river
Maitland river
Clear lake
Pacific Ocean
Lake Okanagan
Black Sea
an abandoned granite mine in Ukraine
some river in Ukraine

There may be others, but that's all I can think of right now.

Jeepers, I have been busier than a one legged lady in a butt kickin' contest! I have done photo shoots everyday since last Wednesday so I am spending all my evenings plowing through them. I just finished Ella's 2 month shoot. Now am off to bed..... I will catch up with you all tomorrow.

I went to the Junior College for 2 years after high school, then went away to college for 18 months before deciding to come back to California to finish at CSULB. So I didn't go there until 1977 so we missed each other for sure. My son went to Humboldt; does your friend happen to live in Eureka?

Judging by the look on her face, I'm guessing she wasn't amused.

Yes! Poor thing is missing some teeth and it allows her tongue to escape. It can be pretty cute sometimes. :D

Okay, Stina, I have to agree that is too cute! I won't say anything about the hair as mine sometimes looks like that, especially in the mornings.:-D

Thanks, MissFire. She is in need of a hair cut for sure and she had no intention of posing for me in that ridiculous outfit, making it hard to get her hair right. :-D
Let me just say...her bed head makes mine look tame. ;-)a
